Company 4 Humanity: Urgent Health Crisis Amid Pakistan Flooding and Insecurity

More than 5.5 million people in Pakistan are currently affected by extreme flooding, impacting 11 provinces and destroying critical infrastructure vital to health services. Tragically, 23 lives have been lost as a direct result of the floods.

This humanitarian crisis compounds ongoing challenges following weeks of violent protests and political instability, including the ousting of the former prime minister. Vulnerable groups, especially children, women, and Rohingya refugees, face heightened risks to their health and safety due to escalating insecurity and limited access to essential services.

Recent data from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) reveals a 60% increase in hunger among Rohingya refugees over the past year, driven by a 33% reduction in food rations due to severe funding shortages. Malnutrition and food insecurity are now critical concerns that threaten the survival and well-being of these already vulnerable populations.

Company 4 Humanity calls for immediate international support and coordinated health interventions to restore access to food, clean water, shelter, and healthcare for those most affected. We remain committed to delivering lifesaving aid and advocating for the right to health for all impacted communities in Pakistan.
