Company 4 Humanity Alerts on Rising Cholera Cases Amidst Severe Flooding
Catastrophic flooding has impacted over 1.4 million people since the start of this year’s lean season. In Niger alone, 881 cholera cases and 18 deaths have been reported as a direct consequence of the floods.
“This is the most devastating flooding Niger has faced in recent history, leaving thousands vulnerable to preventable diseases like cholera. Urgent intervention is critical to save lives,” says the Country Director of Company 4 Humanity.
Company 4 Humanity has already reached 3,120 affected households, providing essential health services and support to more than 21,840 people in flood-impacted areas, working tirelessly to reduce disease outbreaks and improve community resilience.
